Transitions

They say the most growth happens when you push yourself to be uncomfortable. While I do agree with this, there’s always a risk when moving into discomfort because you never know what kind of change could happen. Will this discomfort push me into a positive or negative change?

Prior to receiving my life coach certification, the one quote that kept me going was, “if it hurts, keep going.”

However, I now know that advice isn’t always great for everyone. At this current moment, I would only extend this wisdom to someone who I have validated and supported their emotions and who can keep going. I have moved through experiences in my life where those words have served me, but they haven’t always. In a movement of growth or transition, the most important thing is awareness, that you are able to check in on yourself and make sure that it is serving you to keep going.

Take inventory of your internal and external environment, make a mental Venn diagram, weigh all of your options and give yourself compassion, then you can take action.

The most important truth you can carry with you is your intention. Life almost never deals the cards we thought we would get, but as long as your intentions stand and are true, you can handle whatever is thrown your way.

If you didn’t know, the Align and Inspire symbol is a wave. While we do lean into that aesthetic, it’s much more than a stylistic choice. We want to teach you to “calm the waves”. While you navigate this transition, you have the freedom to choose how much you can push yourself and when you can and cannot keep going. Your alignment will be there to keep you afloat.
